New Organic Ice Cream Truck on the Move

Parfait's mobile ice cream parlor
Yesterday, a tipster reported there was a random but really cute ice cream truck parked outside her home. Come to find out, the fancy-schmancy, custom-built ice cream truck was home to Parfait, an upscale mobile ice cream parlor serving up artisanal organic ice cream.

Opening today (yay!), Parfait, run by pastry chef Adria Shimada, is the newest addition to Seattle's ever-growing mobile gourmet food fleet. Adapting to the varied locations vs. day model, on Fridays--today included--they can be found over in Queen Anne (corner of W. Galer and 3rd Avenue W.) from 2 p.m. to 5 p.m., and Sunset Hill (NW 85th Street and 32nd Avenue NW) on Saturday. Additional neighborhoods are soon to follow.

A tasting of the Decadent Chocolate or maybe the Fresh Mint Stracciatella is still in order. But based on the all the recent store openings (and sweet obsessions), we've come to the conclusion that Seattleites function only on coffee, cupcakes, and gourmet ice cream. Let us know what you think, if you get there before we do.

Watch out Seattle - you are in for a VERY big treat! I have been fortunate enough to be a privileged TASTER of Parfait ice-cream (keep an eye out for the Caffe Fiore flavor!), and it is hands-down the best treat out there. And since it is made with all natural, healthy ingredients, it definitely is a "worth it" indulgence. Happy food at its best!
