Extra Extra: Boxing Day Edition
Not much tends to happen during the week between Christmas Day and New Year's Eve, almost as if the news felt as non-committal to the last week of the year as the rest of us do. "Oh, do something? Meh, all right." And so it goes about its business, popping out the occasional solid story and then going about looking busy with a sheaf of papers in hand.
Case in point, the three alarm fire that demolished a Bellevue office building overnight, leaving the edifice completely gutted. A damage estimate and a cause have yet to be determined, but thankfully, no one was harmed or injured because of it. [Seattle TImes]
Unlike the story in Bremerton, where two people were found dead inside their home on Christmas night; currently, there are no suspicions of foul play involved in the deaths. [Seattle PI]
Foul play, on the other hand, is very much evident in the case of the armed robbery that took place at a Lake City Jack In The Box this morning during their breakfast rush. The incident might be related to a similar robbery that took place at a Lake City Starbucks on Saturday morning. [KIRO]
