Can't Miss It: Tuesday
ET PHONE HOME: Everybody's favorite story about a wayward little alien, ET the Extra Terrestrial, is playing at Central Cinema today and the rest of this week. ET always freaked me out a bit as a kid. I never really got why everyone thought he was so cute - too wrinkly for my tastes, I guess. But what a heartwarming story it is!
6:30 & 9:30 pm // Central Cinema // $6 - $8
WINTER WONDERLAND: Capitol Hill has an ice skating rink this holiday season! Well, technically it's an ice skating rink but it's not made of ice. It's fake - made from sheets of polymer or something. But it still works like an ice skating rink, so unless you're an ice purist (is that a thing?) then you probably can't tell the difference. Either way, now you don't have to schlep all the way down to the Seattle Center to go ice skating. The rink closes on January 2nd, so don't miss your chance. Question to ponder: if it's fake ice will it still be cold when I inevitably fall?
11:00 am - 10:00 pm // Cal Anderson Park // $6 - $12
CAN YOU DO THE CAN CAN?: Vince Mira is The Can Can's latest resident artist. So, every Tuesday night Vince and some friends will play three different sets of music. It's a great opportunity to hear some of the newest material from this boy wonder and Johnny Cash sound-a-like.
7:30 pm // The Can Can // $7
