Seattle Fashion Incubator Moves Into Belltown

Seattle Fashion Incubator Moves Into Belltown

There's been a lot of chatter about what Seattle's next "big" neighborhood will be. Seattle Magazine is cheering for underdogs like White Center and West Seattle, while foodies are lauding South Lake Union (thanks, T-Doug) as the next hot spot. And yet, no one seems to be in Belltown's corner--except, it seems, Seattle's burgeoning fashion community. more ›

Hermès. Big time. Bravern. Be there.

Hermès. Big time. Bravern. Be there.

Sometimes it can be hard to be a fashionista (what's the male equivalent, fashionisto?) in Seattle. While we certainly have our own trends and passion, our density simply cannot always compete with the likes of New York and Paris. That's why when Hermès announces it's launching a multi-city, international festival, Festival des Mètiers (The Festival of Crafts), we're allowed to yelp and squeal like kids in a candy store. Or, kids in a Trophy Cupcakes store, since it's right there. more ›

Event Review: Fashion Feud Seattle

Event Review: Fashion Feud Seattle

As reported in The Dress Code last week, there are occasionally fashion shows and things that resemble fashion shows in Seattle. Last Thursday was one such event, which single-handedly proved why, perhaps, the city would be better suited to stick with things it's good at, like pub crawls on bicycles and being surly. more ›

World Wide WTF: Ebay FashionVault

World Wide WTF: Ebay FashionVault

EBay recently launched FashionVault, a safe home for auction-aholics to purchase designer goods. Sure, we understand - there's a lot of money to be made in Jimmy Choos. But you're the site people associate with Beanie Babies, quasi-famous celebrity autographs, and things that are shaped like Jesus. In short...there's still some eBay stank to be found lingering, Balenciaga or no. Case in point? One of their highest tiered categories is Reenactment Attire. Sorry eBay, but this is not making you any cooler. more ›

Made In Seattle: Hip Slips

Made In Seattle: Hip Slips

Seattle’s vintage clothing and boutique stores are some of the best places to find pieces done by local artists.
